Cultural Affairs Commission

Purpose: To provide planning, financial support, services for, and promotional development of arts organizations, artists, and cultural activity and tourism in the City. Advise on matters pertaining to the arts, culture, and cultural tourism.

Created in 1994, the Cultural Affairs Commission is a volunteer body of 7 members that advises the Council on cultural matters and oversees the Office of Cultural Affairs (OCA.) Commissioners are appointed directly by City Council.

Cultural Affairs Commission meets the fourth thursday alternating months at 5:30pm, Ventura City Hall, 501 Poli Street, Santa Cruz conference room.

Size of the group & term: 7 Members serve 4 years each
