While Ventura Water will be operating with essential staff during the City’s winter shutdown, Customer Care will be available at 667-6500 from 9 am-4:30 pm to assist customers.  However, please note that Customer Care will be closed on December 25 (Christmas), December 26 and January 1 (New Year’s Day). Normal operations will resume on January 5.  The best of the season to you!

General Information

 

Ventura Water provides approximately 31,600 water and wastewater connections to more than 109,000 people.  Bills for residential and commercial customers are mailed every two months, and industrial customers are billed monthly.  Four-year rates and increases were approved in May 2014 with the first year effective July 1, 2014, the second year July 1, 2015, the third year July 1, 2016, and the fourth year July 1, 2017.

Customers are able to view water and wastewater account(s) instantly 24/7 at My Ventura Water, our online access web service. To get started, follow two easy steps:

Step 1: Go to My Ventura Water   

Step 2:  Click Create Account and follow the instructions. (You will need your customer specific account number and telephone number of record to verify your account).

What can I do online? 

Customers can view and print current and past bills, export usage information to analyze trends, and add multiple accounts for easy access.  All web customers are encouraged to go GREEN with our paperless billing service - you will receive email notification when your bill is ready for viewing.  (To enable Electronic Bill Delivery, go to My Ventura Water, click Account Services, and Sign-up for Electronic Bill Delivery.)  This option works great if you are paying your bill through your personal bank's electronic payment program or if you are signed up for our free Automatic Payment Program.

Payment Options

By Mail

In the mailing envelope provided with your bill, enclose the detachable portion of your bill, along with a check or money order made payable to the Ventura Water for the amount due.  Please do not enclose cash or coin.  If the envelope provided is lost, mail to:

In Person

Payments using cash, check, money order, Visa and/or MasterCard, can be made in person at the Treasury Department in City Hall located in Room 107 at 501 Poli Street between the hours of 7:30 am and 5:30 pm, Monday-Friday, closed alternate Fridays, weekends and holidays.  After hours payments (check or money order only - no cash) can be placed in the white drop box located in front of City Hall 24-hours a day.   Please note that drop box payments are credited to the account the next business day.

Automatic Payment Program And Electronic Bill Delivery

Ventura Water offers a FREE direct pay program so that customers can have their payments automatically deducted from their designated bank account.  To enroll, simply return the completed Automatic Utility Payment Application (pdf) with your signature and a voided check or call (805) 667-6500 to request an application brochure.

To go completely paperless, sign-up for My Ventura Water and enable Electronic Bill Delivery to have an email alert you each time your bill is ready for viewing (click Account Services, and Sign-up for Electronic Bill Delivery).

One-Time Payment Options (convenience fee charged)

 

One-time payment options are now available online at My Ventura Water or by toll-free phone (1-888-909-4632) 24-hours/7 days a week with:

  • Checking or Savings Account
  • Debit Card (with VISA or Mastercard logo) or
  • VISA and Mastercard Credit Card

Please note that a $4.25 convenience fee will be charged for each transaction. The fee is paid directly to the processing company.  Ventura Water offers these services only for the convenience of customers choosing these payment options.   All other established payment options continue at no cost to the customer.

During business hours, payments are credited to customer accounts the same day or the next business day if payment is made after hours or on weekends or holidays.
