Please call the City of Ventura's Graffiti Hotline (654-7805) whenever you see graffiti. The line is open 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. We strive to remove all graffiti within 48 hours from the time we receive your call.

During the last 12 month period, we responded to nearly 2,000 incidents of graffiti throughout the City of Ventura. Public Works removes graffiti from public streets, alleys and other right-of-way areas within the City. Generally, private property owners are asked to remove graffiti within their property lines where Public Works does not provide maintenance.

Our objective is to beautify the City through the prompt removal of graffiti. Experience has shown that removing graffiti as soon as it is reported is the best prevention against future graffiti. The vandal loses the ability to show off their work and we take away their territorial markings.

The City has gone 'high tech' with graffiti reporting and documenting. With the help of GPS enabled cameras and the world wide web, our graffiti removal team is now actively assisting Ventura Police Department with categorizing, mapping and documenting all graffiti incidents in the City. Since the programs inception in July 2007, numerous vandals have been arrested and charged for all of their recorded incidents!
