This aptly named solar-powered trash compaction device puts the smash on trash at downtown Ventura's busiest pedestrian intersection at California & Main Streets.
BigBelly has a sensor that automatically crushes four barrels of trash into a single bag, eliminating the problem of over- flowing cans and trash-related vermin.
Sunlight driven and cordless, BigBelly was easy to install to help keep the air and neighborhood streets cleaner ñ by reducing the number of collection trips (it even says when it is ready for a pickup) and the costs of fuel, personnel time and truck maintenance.
