Narrative:
On the above date and time, the Ventura Police Command Center received a call from a resident in the 400 Block of Cedar St who was reporting a vehicle burglary in progress in his carport. The caller stated the victim confronted the suspect prior to the arrival of Ventura PD Officers and attempted to detain him. The suspect attempted to flee but was caught and restrained by the victim until officers arrived.
Responding officers arrived on scene and took the suspect into custody without further incident. The victim’s stolen property was located in the possession of the suspect and returned to the victim.
The suspect was booked at the Ventura County Jail for vehicle burglary and violation of parole. No one was injured during the commission of this crime.
