As of 9:45 a.m. the bear was captured by State Fish and Game without incident.

A resident in the area of 100 Blk of El Cerrito Street reported seeing a adult bear in his rear yard at about 6:35 hours this morning. He said the animal appeared to be injured. It’s unknown if it’s the same bear that was hit by a motor vehicle on Blackburn Road (which is nearby) back on Thursday, July 16th. Presently, California State Fish and Game units are on scene with police and the bear is still huddled down in corner of a rear residential yard.
