Narrative:

On the above date and time, Ventura Police officers responded to a strong-arm robbery that had just occurred in the 1200 block of North Ventura Avenue.

During the investigation officers learned the victim was walking near Red Barn Liquor located at 1285 N. Ventura Ave. when the suspects approached him. The suspects demanded the victim’s property and threatened to harm him if he did not relinquish all his belongings.  The suspects grabbed several bags from the victim and loaded them into a dark colored pickup truck.  The suspects were last seen driving southbound on Ventura Avenue.  

Shortly after the initial call, a VPD patrol officer located a pickup truck matching the description of the suspect’s vehicle parked in 100 block of N. Ventura Avenue.  As the officer approached the vehicle he saw several bags and various articles of clothing strewn about the truck. 

Additional officers arrived on scene and detained suspects, Cobos, Clark and Martinez who were found standing outside the truck amongst the items on the ground.  The victim later positively identified Clark as being one of the suspects who threatened him and took his property.  The belongings on the ground, as well additional property found inside the vehicle, were identified as the property taken from the victim. 

All three suspects were arrested and booked into the Ventura County Jail for 211 PC- Robbery, 182 PC-Conspiracy to commit robbery, 496 PC- Possession of stolen property.  Cobos had an additional charge of 12510(a) PC- possession of spring-loaded knife.
