Narrative:
On July 12, 2010 at about 9:42 p.m., officers responded to a report of a fight with a stabbing victim at Bell Way and Olive St., in West Ventura. When officers arrived on scene they located the victim of the stabbing laying in the roadway. The victim was treated at the scene and was transported to the Ventura County Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Prior to the stabbing incident the involved parties challenged each other to fight. During the fight one subject stabbed the victim multiple times. Investigators working through the night are following leads, but have not made any arrests at this time. The investigation is continuing.
