The Ventura Police Command Center received a frantic 911 call of a female victim who had been tied up during an apparent burglary.
Officers arrived at the residence and found the unidentified victim still partially bound. The victim who was the caretaker of the residence was in the process of checking the home when the suspect came out of an interior room. The suspect pushed the victim down and tied and gagged her. The suspect then fled via the front door with property from the residence.
The investigation revealed that the suspect had forced entry into a locked window of the residence. The suspect was in the process of burglarizing the residence when the caretaker entered the home.
The victim was not injured during this incident.
Physical evidence form the scene has been recovered and will be forensically analyzed. A composite sketch is attached.
