Ventura City Firefighters responded to a reported structure fire in an industrial area of Ventura. First arriving units found a growing fire that was overcoming the fire sprinkler system. The involved occupancy housed a commercial laundry operation that was closed and not occupied at the time of the fire. The fire was located by fire crews and rapidly extinguished. The fire did not extend into adjoining business and no injuries were reported. Damage was estimated to be approximately $10,000 to the building and equipment.
