Narrative:
On the above date and time, Ventura Police Officers responded to a reported fight and brandishing of a knife in front of businesses in the 4200 block of E. Main St. When officers arrived on scene, they detained two subjects appearing to be involved in an altercation.
During the course of their investigation, officers learned that Robert Cox and the victim got into a verbal argument about Cox using profanities in front of small children. During the altercation, Cox removed a knife from his front pants pocket and brandished it at the victim and threatened to stab him.
Cox was arrested without incident and booked at Ventura County Jail for 417 PC – Brandishing and 422 PC – Criminal Threats. Nobody was injured during this incident.
