PEAK & ASES are partnerships that include the City of Ventura Department of Parks & Recreation, Ventura Unified School District and Ventura Police Activities League (PAL). PEAK was formed in 2002 to develop and implement an inclusive after school program for elementary and middle school children serving 500 kids per year.  ASES programs began in schools in the fall of 2011.

Mission: Our mission is to provide a safe and supervised after school education, enrichment and recreation program for students.

Program Components:

  • Nutritional snack – Junior Chef Program
  • Academic homework tutorial provided by experienced and knowledgeable staff
  • Enrichment activities include Arts, Music, Computers, Climbing Wall, Spelling Bee
  • Sports and games include Martial Arts, Fitness and Fun, Sports Leagues through Westpark Community Center, Swim Lessons

  • DATA (DeAnza) Middle School: M-Th 2:30-6 pm; F 12:30-6 pm
  • Montalvo Elementary M-Tu-Th-F 12:30-6 pm; W 12:30-6 pm

PEAK Schools & Hours:

  • E.P. Foster Elementary M-Tu-Th-F 2:30-5:30 pm; W 12:30-5:30 pm
  • Lincoln Elementary M-Th 2:30-5:30 pm; F 12:30-5:30 pm
  • Portola Elementary M-Tu-Th-F 2:30-5:30 pm; W 12:30-5:30 pm
  • Sheridan Way Elementary M-Tu-Th-F 2:30-5:30 pm; W 12:30-5:30 pm
  • Westpark (serving Will Rogers Elementary)  M-Tu-Th-F 2:30-5:30 pm; W 12:30-5:30 pm
