Crime Stoppers

Our department has partnered with Crime Stoppers as a means by which people can provide anonymous tips and information on crimes and suspects.

By guaranteeing a caller`s anonymity, Crime Stoppers allows the caller to give information in a positive atmosphere without the prospect of retribution.  By offering cash rewards for information leading to indictment or arrests, the program encourages otherwise reluctant callers to provide information. If you information leads to an arrest you may also be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.

You can provide anonymous information in a variety of ways. You can call Ventura County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS, or text “Busted” plus your message to Crimes (274637), or submit your tip online via the Crime Stoppers website.

To learn about the Crime Stoppers program, how it works, history, and other information please visit the Ventura County Crime Stoppers website.

Working together and being partners in the community we can reduce crime.

Up Coming Event

Ventura County Crime Stoppers (VCCS) is holding a local fund raiser!  We invite you to join us on Tuesday July 14, 4:00pm – 9:00pm at any The Habit restaurant in Ventura County.  Simply present the attached flyer with your order and VCCS will receive 20% of the proceeds.  Please feel free to distribute the flyers generously, however, as a condition of the fundraiser,  we cannot distribute flyers at the restaurant locations so please be mindful.

Ventura County Crime Stoppers, founded in 1991, has been partnering with Ventura County law enforcement for 24 years.  By offering a means for people to provide information anonymously to law enforcement and receive a cash reward when that tip leads to an arrest, we actively assist our area officers in reducing crime and removing dangerous individuals from our neighborhoods.   Local anonymous tips have led to arrests for murder, bank robbery, rape, child abuse, elder abuse, vandalism and other felonies.  Because of these tips, millions of dollars of illegal drugs have been seized, stolen property has been recovered, and numerous guns have been taken out of the hands of criminals.  Operated by volunteers, Ventura County Crime Stoppers is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation funded by private donations and fund raising. NO TAX DOLLARS are involved.

We appreicate your support in helping make our community safer!
