Our goal is to strive to work together as a community to achieve the Ventura Vision through civic engagement, partnerships, and volunteer service.

The City of Ventura calls upon its residents to participate meaningfully in decisions that affect them. How would you make Ventura a better place to live? Interested City residents may apply to serve on a volunteer board, commission, or committee that assists and advises the City Council on various programs and projects.
Invite a Council member or City staffer to speak to your neighborhood group, civic club, non-profit agency or business group. To schedule a speaker, please contact Lysa Urban at lurban@cityofventura.net or 805-677-3914.

Each month the City of Ventura invites a student from a local fifth grade class to be Mayor for a Moment.  An essay is chosen about a particular character trait and the student is invited to read his or her essay at the City Council meeting.
You can make a tax-deductible donation to benefit our parks, historic properties, scholarship funds, or provide enriching programs for the entire community.  Every donation, no matter the size, truly does make a difference and will help strengthen and improve our community.
