Financial Planning & Analysis

The Financial Planning & Analysis Division is responsible for the City budget, accounting, and policy analysis functions. Its purpose is to effectively manage resources through the budgetary and accounting systems in order to ensure cost effectiveness and efficiency and to assist departments in the attainment of their service objectives.

Purchasing & Contracts

Procurement services for all City departments are centralized in the Purchasing & Contracts Division under the direction of the Purchasing & Contracts Manager. The Purchasing & Contracts Division is organized by major commodity groups that are assigned to individual buyers who specialize in the commodities they purchase. A listing of buyers assigned to each commodity group is available upon request.

Treasury

The Treasury Division is responsible for the preservation, enhancement, and accountability for cash assets and long-term debt management for the City, Redevelopment Agency, and Public Facilities Financing Authority. Treasury is also responsible for local tax ordinance administration and compliance and revenue development and collection.
Information Technology

The Information Technology Division consists of the Information Services Section that provides computer, telecommunications, word processing, graphics, and network support services to all City departments. The IT Division is also responsible for GIS (Geographic Information Systems) that provides and develops access to geographic data citywide for planning, analysis and database visualization.
