Where can I watch public meetings and city television programs?

All public meetings and locally produced City television programs can be seen streaming online (live and archived) and on VTV Channel 15. VTV is available to Ventura cable subscribers with Charter Communications or Time Warner Cable.

Where can I find City Council Agendas and Minutes?

You can find City Council Agendas and Minutes here.  City Council agendas are available on the Wednesday before a Monday meeting.

How do I express an opinion to a Councilmember or to the City Council?

Send your opinion to the Council via the web form at My Ventura Access. Your message will be provided to all councilmembers for consideration.

If you would like to express your opinion to an individual council member, you can find email addresses on the City Council web page.

How do I file a request under the Public Records Act?

Submit a public records request online through My Ventura Access.

The goal of the City is to provide timely response to requests for any and all public records. Pursuant to the Public Records Act, the City will provide information within 10 days or advise you in writing of any exemption from disclosure or delay in providing the information and when it will be made available. Information that is readily available and not exempt, will be provided promptly. Requests that are not exempt from disclosure that require research, retrieval, and reproduction will be provided at the earliest date possible and, in any case within 24 days.
