The community is invited to come Downtown and celebrate holiday festivities during the Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony on Saturday, December 4 at 6pm in the California Mini Park, located on the corner of Santa Clara and California Street.

A 20 foot tall, fresh cut tree will be professionally decorated and installed on the main stage of the park and will remain on display through the month of December.

A chorus of choirs will perform throughout the ceremony starting at 6pm.  Ventura Youth Choir, Channelaire Chorus, Trinity Lutheran Choir, and Ventura First Assembly Group will all be present to guide the community in fun sing-a-long songs for the whole family.

It's rumored that Santa Claus will ride into Downtown Ventura on a fire engine to greet the children and will be joined by Mayor Fulton to light the holiday tree at 6:15pm.  Come Downtown and watch the park light up in all its holiday splendor!

This event is free and open to the public.  Free parking is available in the adjacent parking structure and nearby parking lots.

The fun doesn't stop on December 4, live musical entertainment is scheduled for your afternoon shopping trips on Saturdays and Sundays, December 11, 12, 18 and 19 on Main Street.

Free grift wrapping is being offered at 456 East Main Street, Tuesday - Thursday 12pm - 6pm, Friday - Saturday 12pm - 8pm and on Sundays from 12pm - 6pm.  Donations are appreciated and benefit the Kingdom Center.
