Registration

Teams may register for tournaments by phone, fax, mail or in person on a first-come, first served basis. Registration for tournaments must be received by the deadline for teams to be entered in the tournament. Rosters must be completed at the time of registration including name, address, and phone number of players and managers.

Rules & Classifications

Tournaments may be classified as Open, C, D, E, and Rec. depending on the quality and make-up of a team. Classification will be determined by the make-up of team roster, history of the team in league and/or tournament play. The City of Ventura holds Southern California Municipal Athletic Federation (S.C.M.A.F.), ASA, and other sanctioned tournaments throughout the year. Teams will adhere to the rules and conditions of these sanctioning organizations when entering events cosponsored by the City of Ventura.

Tournament Format

The type of tournament and number of games each team receives will be determined prior to the start of the tournament. The Tournament Director or approved representative may schedule a round robin, double elimination, single elimination, or pool play tournament format. The City of Ventura or approved representative will act as Tournament Director and will be responsible for the organization of the tournament, scheduling staff, developing draws and administering the program.
