The Economic Development Collaborative-Ventura County (EDC-VC) is the business resource for companies of all sizes doing business in Ventura County. Established in 1996, EDC-VC promotes jobs and economic growth to maintain the county’s economic vitality through these key programs and services:

Women’s Economic Ventures

Women’s Economic Ventures (WEV) provides a continuum of programs, including training, consulting and loans to help residents of Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties start and grow small businesses. Though services are targeted toward women, WEV serves men as well. WEV’s core 14-week Self Employment Training (SET) program is offered at a reduced fee for low-income residents. Ventura County Workforce Investment Board (WIB) Rapid Response Program

The Rapid Response Program identifies resources and services for businesses and their employees affected by downsizing due to company restructuring, closure or relocation. The Program provides quick and comprehensive information and services aimed at minimizing job losses for employers. When a business closure is necessary, the Program can work with the business to help its workers make transitions to new jobs. Program services are free to both employers and employees.

SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to helping small businesses get off the ground, grow and achieve their goals through education and mentorship. We have been doing this for nearly fifty years.

Ventura Visitors and Convention Bureau

The Ventura Visitors & Convention Bureau promotes Ventura as a coastal destination.  The organization operates the Ventura Visitors Center located at 101 South California St., serving as ambassadors for Ventura and assisting residents and tourists alike by providing information, directions, and recommendations for Ventura's many dining options, activities, and hotel accommodations.
